ABOUT US

WHETHER YOU CALL IT SOCCER OR FOOTBALL, WE LOVE THIS GAME. WE THINK YOU AND YOUR CHILD WILL, TOO.

Sabino Vista Soccer Club is a competitive soccer club for boys and girls 18 years and younger. Whether you want to introduce your pee wee to his/her first sport, or help your established athlete get a college scholarship, we're here to help you succeed.

Our Mission

Our mission is to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of Tucson's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition.  Our goal is to make it fun while instilling in our players a life long passion for the sport.

Training Field

Our teams train at Udall Park east of Sabino Canyon Road on Tanque Verde Road.

Player Selection

Players will be selected from open tryout sessions beginning in May of each year.   New players are welcome year round and will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Increased Dexterity Skillsets
Improve foot-eye coordination and footwork through these drills.

Better Ball Handling
Every coaching session includes ball handling fundamentals.

Improved Flexibility & Range of Motion

Stretching is a critical part of any athletic routine. We know that.

Correct Footwork Application
We'll help your player apply proper footwork to his/her complete game.

Improved Decision Making Abilities
Brain teasers and strategy are a part of any game, including soccer.

Training content:

Goalkeeping Training

We have two coaches that work with players on the fundamentals of goalkeeping.

Plyometric Training and Conditioning

We take our training off the field, too. Our new plyometric sessions help build strength, endurance and mental toughness.

Player Training

The teams coaching staff will conduct the weekly training sessions for the team.  Number of training sessions will vary with age and competition level but general guidelines are 2-3 days of training a week with 1-2 games per weekend for U8-U13 age groups.  For U14 and above, 3-4 training days and 1-2 games per weekend.  Additional training sessions and games can be expected for those teams participating in local and out of town tournaments.

League Play

Your child's team will play in the appropriate league as determined  by coaching staff and club officials.  It can be PCJSL, Port of Subs Open League or State League.

Tournament Play

Teams will participate in tournaments during the season.  There are many local and out of town tournaments our teams compete in.
